When it's time to sell their home, many people look at those real estate fees and start thinking: "Hey I could put that money in my own pocket and have more left over to accomplish my goals if I can just find a buyer without having to use an agent.." Well, who could blame a person for wanting to get the most money possible out of their home? I would certainly feel the same way. (as a matter of fact, I have sold a couple of my own properties, but that's another story...)
I will tell you right up front, "If I could sell my own home without paying a commission to anyone else, you can be sure that I would be quite happy to do so!" On the other hand I believe that nine times out of ten, you are much better off in the end and will probably end up with as much, or darn near as much money in your pocket when the dust settles and with a lot fewer hassles and headaches along the way, if you are represented by a competent, professional Realtor.
That said, I would also be very happy if I could help you be the 1 in 10 that markets, shows, negotiates and drafts an enforceable sales contract and sells their own home. Even more important though, is to be the 1 in 100 who actually does as well, selling on their own.
So get comfortably settled and lets get down to the nitty gritty of it!!!
Oh, one more thing, you should probably know before we start,
I'm NOT the Top Selling Realtor in the entire Universe, my Real Estate Board or even my office. I'm just a hard working, consistent, above average salesperson who has been doing this since 1990 and has a desire to help out whenever I can. And chances are pretty good that I have sold more homes in the first six months of 2001 than you have, ever! Otherwise you probably wouldn't have read this far. Also, since I don't know where in the world you may be reading this from, I don't know your local laws, customs and forms.Nor do I have any idea of your knowledge level...

1) Place an ad in your local newspaper. The rates are lower than the larger regional papers and although you won't get as much exposure, you are "Target Marketing", since if they are getting that paper you can assume that they already live... continued >
